THEE best pizza ever!!! Just like Boston pizza. Genos has the only pizza that I look forward to eating on purpose. I have not liked pizza since I moved to KY, but Genos IS the real deal! Prices are great too. I would pay whatever they wanted to eat this pizza. The spinach calzone is also fantastic.

The best sandwich on town. It is a lunchtime destination that is not for someone on a tight timetable, but rather interested in an outstanding sub. The Italian sub and New Yorker with the herbed havarti are both top notch.

Really disappointing visit. The place was completely empty at dinner time, and while they were advertising pizza by the slice all day long, they told me it would take 30 minutes to get a slice. It doesn't take 30 minutes to make a pizza. It seemed pretty clear they had stopped doing slices and only had sandwiches and call ahead pizza orders. Tucked away in a corner of a strip mall next to a Hobby Lobby, I'd bet things aren't going that well overall.

I recently discovered this new deli. They have the best italian sub. I have tried several of their other sandwiches, all were good, but the classic italian is still my favorite. They slice the meats for your sandwich when you order.. how's that for fresh? They also have this yummy couscous salad. Not sure of the dressing, but it has peppers, onions and cilantro. I ended up taking a serving home for later. I hope you will give this new business a try!!

Have been there many times. I usually like it, but this last time I got violently sick. I think they used meat that was too far gone for the meat antipasti.

Best pizza in Bowling Green! Flavorful crust, not overcooked. Awesome veggie antipasti. Lots of vegetarian options too, AND they have pizza by the slice! Lots of variety in pizza toppings (spinach and broccoli, yay!). Staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back. I can't wait to try one of their Italian desserts.

Place was disgusting. I got an Italian meatball sandwich and it was horrible. I think they also heated my macaroni in a microwave in the back.

This place was amazing. My colleagues and I were driving from Nashville to Louisville, and purposely stopped in Bowling Green for lunch at Geno's. As my colleague drove away from the interstate, and kept driving, I thought, "This place had better be good. This is taking us pretty far off-track." It was completely worth it. I had the eggplant parmesan sandwich. The wheat bread was incredible, crispy on the outside and soft inside. I had a side of pickle and olive salad, my greatest fantasy. I liked the enormous list of options for sides, both cold and hot. I had half of a chocolate cannoli. So. Good. Nice service. You do have to wait a bit for the food, as they make it on the spot. I will gladly drive an extra 5 minutes off the interstate for lunch again.

Geno's Italian Deli in Bowling Green, Kentucky has no shortage of options. In addition to pizza, they serve breakfast, salads, gyros, wraps, dogs, pasta, sandwiches, entrées, and even fruit smoothies. If I am ever able to visit again, I would like to try one of their sandwiches. They have a good meat selection that they cut fresh for each sandwich. However, being that I am not The Sandwich Fan, I looked forward to having some of their pepperoni pizza on this trip. Geno's offers pizza-by-the-slice as well as three different sizes of whole pies that range from 12 to 16 inches. I went with the quicker pizza-by-the-slice option as I was just swinging in for a brief lunch. When they brought it out to me, I thought the pizza looked kind of bland or cookie-cutter, like it was a frozen pizza they just heated up. However, its looks were deceiving, and my taste buds were more impressed with it than my eyes. It was somewhat doughy, but I didn't mind as I liked the taste of their dough. Also, the nice flavor of their sauce still stood out on the thicker crust. It had enough cheese, but there wasn't anything too special about it or the pepperoni. Gino's Italian Deli is worth a visit, and I'm confident that you can find something on their menu that peaks your interest. For pizza specifically, it would likely be better to try one of their whole pies, and there is also an option called Mister B's Pizza and Wings in the area.

Just left lost river pizza looking for another pizza joint. So far Genio's price is good 12 bucks For a large two topping pie. Looks lik we they can make any type of sandwich you want. They said the pit is new you'll style. At least it a style compared to lost river ( glad I walked out of the place with my money still in my pocket) Back to the pie on hand the crust is crispy. Not bad pie had better looks like this place sell more Sandi chest than pizzas.

The food is awesome! Great pizza! Only thing is that their service is very poor. I called ahead of time to order and was placed on hold for ever! Then when we went in, there was hardly anyone there. 3 people working so no excuse for the long hold on the phone. We will still go there for the pizza though.

Staying in Bowling Green at the Holiday Inn across the street from this awesome place. I found this joint several years ago on a drunken hunt for Pizza and quite honestly I forgot about it till I rediscovered it right here on Yelp. It is a REAL Deli. Lots of sandwich options, vegetarian options, dessert options etc. Real gyro meat spinning and ready to carve. Pizza. Great hot and cold sides. I am chowing down right now on a 1/2 Meatball Hoagie (more than enough for one person) , some great olive and pickle salad, chips and a nice cold Powerade. Big dinner for 11 bucks. Oh yea, and a homemade cannoli! Meatball Hoagie is great because French Bread it is served on is thick enough and toasted crispy enough to hold the saucy meatballs. They nestle them in like a hot dog in a bun. Unlike Subway or Jimmy Johns etc they actually slice all meat (like I said- a real deli). Definetly family friendly, great service, tons of selections. I recommend you eat here.

I've heard tons of great things about this place, unfortunately none of them from recent experiences. I placed a large catering order from them several months ago for work. From the ordering perspective they were very helpful and friend. From a food quality stance though, not so much. It looked very tasty but everyone except the people who didn't eat complained about how bland the food was. Last month I thought I'd give them another try so and took my girlfriend there for lunch. We were very disappointed in the plainness of the food combined with the small portions. I don't know what they used to do to generate so many great comments about their food, whatever it was, they aren't doing it any more.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
